About Gary “Chris” Lamb

Savannah local. History graduate. Author. Taxi driver. In this town, those are all the same job.

Gary “Chris” Lamb — Savannah, Georgia

Gary “Chris” Lamb is a Savannah local and a history graduate. He writes about the ground he knows: the Sea Islands of South Carolina, where his Sea Islands Freedom novels are set, and the streets of Savannah, where he drives every day.

By day, Chris owns and drives for Live Oak Airport Taxi. Riders kept asking him where to eat, what to see, and what the stories were behind the streets — so the answers became a guide, and the guide joined the novels on this shelf.

Spanish Moss Digital is his publishing house — the imprint his newest editions already carry — started so the whole collection lives in one place: the novels, the guides, and the shorter pieces still to come.

Every book on this shelf carries the same name — Gary “Chris” Lamb — so if you ride with him in Savannah and then pick up one of his novels, you know exactly who wrote it.

Ride with the author

You're riding with the man who wrote the history of this coast. Chris runs private History Rides through Live Oak — the stories told from the driver's seat, in the places they happened.
